The Visualization Sciences Group (VSG) develops innovative solutions for 3D visualization in a wide
range of areas such as scientific research, geosciences, medical, design and mechanical engineering
and material sciences. We provide industry-leading organizations with interactive 3D data
visualization software and solutions that help business, scientific and engineering users gain
critical insight from all types of data.
Position Summary: Sales Account Manager
This person is in charge to manage and develop business opportunities in all
markets (excluding Oil&Gas, Mining and Geosciences) for commercial
software editors as well as corporate, governmental and academic organizations.
He analyzes major opportunities, prepares strategies/account management plans;
prepare quotes and collect orders, influences management and individuals to obtain
resources needed to achieve agreed upon sales strategy, plan and goals.
Location: Bordeaux, France

Northern Europe: United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands
Languages:
* English (fluent)
Experience:
* Sales of business software, professional services and solutions;
* Extensive experience selling to executive and upper management buyers at
Fortune2000-class enterprises, SMB/start-up, and independent software vendors;
* Established contacts in any or all of the following fields: mechanical manufacturing
and engineering, Medical, Material Sciences or NDT, energy, sciences, high performance computing...
* A history of successful new account development and major account management;
* Knowledge of scientific software community (3D graphics and data visualization/data analysis a plus)
* Dynamic negotiating and closing skills.
* Direction of others: Provides direction and guidance to Applications Engineer working with you.
* Used to implement sales strategy that may involve: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, proposing, closing and installing.
* Used to deliver sales presentation to customers and prospects
Education and Abilities:
* Typically requires Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 3 or more years successful sales experience.
* Candidates with international experience and multilingual fluency will receive priority consideration.
* General knowledge computer sciences
* Should have a working knowledge of company products, policies and operational procedures and the
ability to understand and explain relevant technical issues.
* This position requires excellent communication skills (listening and speaking),
mental/visual aptitude for testing and the ability to successfully handle all or a number of the job functions at or about the same time, and be able to prioritize functions. Additional requirements include performing activities requiring sustained concentration, e.g., preparing sales forecasts.
* About 35% travels required.
